Eric Miles is a veteran educator, artist, and arts administrator who has worked with schools, universities and community-based organizations for over twenty years. The focus of his career has been in support of New York City’s aspiring high school artists, as an award-winning visual arts teacher and department head. In this mission, he co-founded the Bronx High School for the Visual Arts, administered a multi-disciplinary arts program at the Urban Assembly School of Music and Art and led Pratt’s Institute’s teacher training program. Eric has also been an advocate for youth voice through his leadership in community-based mural projects locally and internationally.

  • I work with teens and adults to collaboratively design and paint murals that reflect community ideals. Partnerships and participants include community centers, public schools, and public housing developments.

  • Paintings, prints and drawings; often made in connection to larger public art projects.

  • A life-long educator with experience teaching at the high school and college level, I develop and execute a range of visual art and STEAM classes and residencies.
